I made my first film in 1986 while still in high school. It was a nature documentary about the Sonoran Desert, and in addition to writing the voiceover script, I shot the footage in Arizona and edited it using two VCRs.
Fast foward a few decades, I produced and wrote the scripts for videos on reentry and early literacy in my work as a librarian.
At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, I took on an additional role at work as a video coach and assisted my library colleagues with creating a variety of videos. This experience rekindled my interest in filmmaking, and I’ve passionately pursued learning more about video editing and motion design, so I can help people and organizations visually share their stories.
